Bloemfontein Celtic wants to raise their level of performance

This is the third year running that Bloemfontein Celtic will be taking part in the tournament. Over the four years of their participation, their performance level has unfortunately dropped. In 2008 when they took part for the first time, they reached the final where they unfortunately lost against local favourites Ajax Cape Town. In 2009 they only made it to the second stages of the plate. And in 2010 they were knocked out in the first round.

So, with a team that is mostly made up of new players, Bloemfontein Celtic hope that this year, their preparation will not let them down, and that they will improve on last season's performance. Coach George Nechironga who was crowned footballer of the year in 1990, sharing the trophy with Peter Ndlovu, expects that his team will qualify for the next round.

Players that Coach Nechironga would like to recommend are: Captain and winger Keletso Mosime, right-back Nyapholi Matsepo, midfielder Fanyana Nkosi, midfielder Lerato Mosopa, and striker Sedilaka Mokone who has already scored one goal.

Coach, and former Celtics player, George Nechironga, emphasises that the players' approach to the game is important, and that is what makes these five players stand out: their attitude contributes and complements their skills - a player can have brilliant skills, but if their attitude is not right, then that affects their skills.
