The Plate Final takes place at 10:30 where we will see FC Real SA take on Greenwood Athletic. Warren Lotters’ boys came out this morning in high spirits as we saw them singing and dancing as they entered the gate, all the way to the warmup area. FC Real SA alongside their coach Devon Bowers made the journey all the way from Roodepoort to compete in the prestigious Bayhill Premier Cup. The first-time contenders are looking to walk away with the silverware this morning as the spirits are high and the minds are calm.

The Mid-Section Final takes place at 11:45 as Highlands Park takes on Ubuntu Academy. Coach Sifiso Mnguni against Coach Cacey Maritza. Both sides are a technically gifted side blessed with talented players such as Highlands Park #2 Lindokuhle Mbutho & Ubuntu Academy #11 Keenan Bezuidenhout. Will these two step up as their teams are seeking a major Mid-Section Final trophy today?

The biggest accolade of the day, The Roger Clayton Trophy final. Roger Clayton was one of the founding members of The Bayhill Tournament 33 years ago. His passion for youth development and football drove him to create a platform where the youth of football can showcase their talents and passion on a stage that was set only them. Roger Clayton always made sure that the player comes first. The Cup Final was retitled as The Roger Clayton Trophy as a tribute to the man himself and today’s winner will be the first ever recipient of the renamed Roger Clayton Trophy. This way he will always be remembered, and his legacy will continue to breathe life into the youth of today.

The Roger Clayton Trophy final taking place at 15:00 sees Coach Duncan Crowie take on Coach Jason Rhoda. Cape Town Spurs vs Stellenbosch FC. A local derby setting the final stage on fire. Both teams came through the tournament as strong contenders and showing no mercy to their competition. Will star boy #11 Roy-Keane Avontuur continue his amazing tournament and take it home for Stellenbosch FC or will #7 Mogamat Abrahams showcase his best skills yet and bring it home for Cape Town Spurs.

We’ll have to wait and see what the football has in store for us today!
